black and white photo of Teresa Villegas

I live in the big, hot city of Phoenix, Arizona where it's six months hell and six months of heaven –for humans anyhow, and year-round beauty being in the Sonoran Desert. For work and fun, I'm a visual storyteller. I can't seem to get away from the interplay of words, images, and design.

I've always been an artist. I spent the first part of my career as a graphic designer and illustrator for the publishing industry. I designed and illustrated many books for Random House, Scholastic, also did editorial work for a variety of magazines and was on staff at The Arizona Daily Star newspaper for five years.

Then, while simultaneously growing three kids (still growing), I spent 10 years pursuing my fine art professionally, I traveled and exhibited my paintings and relief prints throughout the United States and Mexico. I designed two public art projects for the Sky Harbor International Airport. Soon I realized I wanted to collaborate, and travel more. I transfered my art studio to my laptop. I am now a certified UI/UX designer and tell stories with digital screens. In other words, I am following my bliss (again). If you want my full resume, feel free to check out my artist website and Linkedin profile.

Now I help people tell their stories as a brand strategist and web designer –and I can do it from anywhere in the world. I work for purpose-driven businesses and organizations that share my passion –working to change the world in a more positive way for everyone.

Serving my purpose-driven business means doing good work for good people. It also means believing in the power of the arts and sciences, heart and mind, and the intelligence of nature. I'm driven by beauty, love, visual, and human centered design, and how to incorporate form and function with everything I make. It also means caring about connection and being part of the adventure. I take my clients from inception to launch. I care about making an impact and helping them do the same in as sustainable a way as we can.

I'm a wife, a mom, a sister, a friend, a traveler, an art and design critic snob, a spicy food lover, nature lover, tree-hugger, morning person, lover of yoga, dogs, laughter, good humor, foreign films, and Latin literature.

It might sound cliché but I am so grateful and inspired to be doing work that I love with people who care. I define success by the success of my clients. No matter how much I'm getting paid, how many clients I sign, how many likes I get on my content, I'm not successful until I see my clients thrive. Join me on a project and we'll get to know each other better. Be prepared for laser focused illuminations, creative depth, and amazing results.
